“My husband and I wanted to escape the Minnesota cold, so we booked a month-long stay at Casa Velasco. We had not been to La Quinta before, so admittedly, when we booked, we took a stab in the dark because we were not familiar with the area. We lucked out in booking our stay, and it was perfect for what we needed.

The location is FANTASTIC. The home is two blocks to the park where we could take our dogs, walking distance to Old Town (which was important to me because I was working from home and my husband golfed most days, leaving me without a car), near hiking trails, and minutes from local conveniences. Old Town had some great restaurants (Enzo's for happy hour, RD RNNR for drinks and queso fundido, Yes Please for lunch, delicious chai at Main Street Coffee, fried chicken from the Tower Market, short rib night at Main Street Grill, huge margaritas at Casa Mendoza) and a cute Farmer's Market on Sundays.

The house was clean and had plenty of space, a large backyard for the dogs, lots of sunlight, and a well-stocked kitchen. The neighborhood was quiet and felt safe. Josh was so gracious in answering our (many) questions when we arrived; he was very responsive and easy to communicate with. We also really appreciated that we could bring our four-legged family members.

We highly recommend it, and we will definitely stay here again the next time we are in La Quinta!”
